es. If eaten fresh, the berries have a very distinct tart taste, and if eaten over ripe, they have a creamy taste, like yogurt, and become sweeter. Cloudberries are often cooked into jams and jellies, and in some Nordic countries, a traditional liqueur like Lakkalikööri (a Finnish liqueur) is made from them.
