CACAO | WHERE DOES CHOCOLATE COME FROM?

CACAO | WHERE DOES CHOCOLATE COME FROM? | If you have yet to see what a cacao (nut / "bean" where chocolate comes from) tree looks like, here it is. Unlike most trees in the world, the pods grow directly from the trunk and the branches, as opposed to only the branches. The pods come in colors of yellow, green, orange, red, & purple during the ripening process. The nuts / beans are within the pod and are ground into powder or cracked into "nibs," somewhat like chocolate chips and sold around the world. With over 600 chemical compounds within the nut alone, this is truly a magical & spectacular tree and is one of the most ingested Earth Foods on the planet!
