The ermine (Latin Name: Mustela erminea)

   The ermine (Latin Name: Mustela erminea) is native to Eurasia and North America. It is also known as a stoat or a short tailed weasel. They can grow to 12.8 inches long and weigh 9.1 ounces. Their winter fur is all white, dense and silky, while their summer fur is brown on top, white on bottom, short, rough and sparse. They tend to eat large rodents. It is in the worlds topp 100 invasive species, and is listed as "Least Concern" by the IUCN.
